GSC Game World is still putting out new updates for its hit first-person shooter survival horror game, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The latest update is perfect for the holiday weekend, and it’s made a lot of improvements to the game. This update comes just one day after the popular title received its biggest update to date. On December 19, GSC Game World released a big update for STALKER 2 that fixed over 1,800 bugs, made changes, and made the game better in general. Patch 1.1 included various fixes, such as adjustments to NPC spawns, improvements to AI, balance tweaks, and optimization enhancements. Then, on the same day, they released another update (1.1.1) to fix a few issues that were causing users on PC to crash when starting up the game after update 1.1.
After these two updates, GSC Game World released another patch for STALKER 2. According to the official patch notes, which you can find further down this article, update 1.1.2 fixes some of the most recent issues that the community reported. Some users were having trouble with the shader compilation, which led to either endless wait times or crashes. Thankfully, they fixed that and also issues that were causing some users to crash upon exiting the game and for others who were unable to load their save files.
